Day 24

Just because I haven't blogged about it, doesn't mean I am not doing it! I am still working out! Although I did not work out last Thursday until yesterday. I had to get Ryan's room painted so he could go back to sleeping in there! But let me tell you, painting IS a work out! My arms and back hurt so bad, so I guess I was still exercising.

I have started workout 2 on my DVD, Shed 5 Fast by Lindsay Brinn. It is easier and harder in some ways. The aerobic exercises seem easier and the toning is harder. My inner thighs are killing me, which is so awesome! I can't wait to slim these guys down.

I started working out at weighing between 138-141 pounds. I am now about 135 pounds. I am including a picture taken this morning as well as the one on my very first post on this blog. I was 143.5 pounds then and wearing my capris a bit too high! You can see my lovely stretch marks and tons of skin, but I do feel like I am skinnier. I haven't felt it yet in my clothes, but I'm hoping to in these next few weeks.

  3. WOW!!! Thats all I can say is WOW!!! You look amazing! You looked really good when i saw you in utah but seeing those pictures I can't believe how good you look! Okay so now you can help me! I am watching what i eat, and working out everyday, and I can't seem to drop a single pound! And I am measuring my waist and stuff and I am not losing any inches or anything! I am just a big fat blob! Its acutally has me very very upset and certain people are not helping the situation, they have no problem letting me know how fat I am and want to know why I am not back to my pre pregnancy sizes! I don't know what else to do, how long is your work out everyday? Do you work out on sat and sun also? I work out mon-fri but not on the weekends, I feel like I am pushing myslef really hard but I am not seeing any results! Like this morning I had sweat dripping off my face while I was tring to do my push ups! HELP ME!! I really want a work out buddy too! I have barely lost any weight at all sense I had Kayden, like not even after the deliver did i lost weight! with Cambree I lost everything i gained at delivery, with Kayden he even weighed more then Cambree and I didn't lose a single pound after I had him! Explain that one! My goal is to lose at least a good 35-40 pounds and I can't even lose one pound! HELP! Whats wrong with me!

  4. Shirley! You look amazing! A big difference. You are gorgeous. I would never be brave enough to post pictures. How are you feeling? The days I workout I am a much happier person. It really lifts my spirits. :) My workouts are kicking my butt! I am sore every day but hey that's a good thing, right? Keep up all the hard work!!!! :D

    Cjirsten - I thought you looked really good when I saw you! I don't believe that you haven't lost ANY weight! If you didn't, you are hiding it well!

    I don't know much about losing weight! All I did to get to my prepregnancy weight was what you're probably doing, but more. I always ate right, no dieting, but not eating crap either. I drank a ton of water and nursed, which was a big one for me. Since I am still nursing, I am not dieting, just working out. The thing I love about my DVD is she says to pull your belly button in towards your back, and hold this through all the work outs, even crunches. I think this might help, if you're not doing it already. And I do work out on Saturday mornings. If you want I can burn the DVD and send it to you. Just let me know!

    Tina - Thank you! You're right about being happier. The endorphins really help, at least that's what I think they are called! I post pictures because it motivates me. I have an image of myself in my head that is a lot better than what I look, so it helps seeing reality. Posting it here helps me make sure I keep up with it. How long are your work outs for? I bet you will kick those last few pounds in no time!

  7. shirley! u are so brave to post picures! way to go. i love your blog and the truth you share. i am training to run my first half marathon. i started January 1 and i work out at least 4 times a week and have not lost a single pound. it is so frustrating! your baby is so cute! keep it up! you can do it.

  8. Lindsay! Thanks so much for commenting! I just had to post pictures or else I would probably quit. They are great reminders too!

    Good for you training for a marathon!! That is amazing! I haven't really lost too much, but I do feel better and I am toning up a bit. I must admit that if I am not a size 6 before 90 days is up, I might cry. lol. Thanks again for reading!

  9. Shirley - Thanks for sharing this blog! I just started my own blog about this stuff too. I kept reading how you say "I feel great!" - I think that is almost more important than appearance - although that part is nice too. Not sure how all this blogging stuff works, but as soon as I figure out how I'll send you an invite.
